Gratitude & Grief

Día de Muertos has come and gone, but we know that grief is not a one-and-done event. In this online session, our intent is to gather in community and share what’s in our hearts. Grief is there, but perhaps there is gratitude, too.

For those of us who grew up with the Thanksgiving holiday in the US, November may seem a natural time of year to remember all that we feel grateful for. During this online event, you are invited to share stories of loved ones who have died, or share how remembering death and living with grief has evoked gratitude in your life.

*This is not therapy and we promise no particular outcome. It’s simply an opportunity for sharing.

Show & Tell Format

Come with a meaningful object to “show and tell.” This could be a photograph or small material item (jewelry, seashell, stuffed animal, coffee mug - anything!) that reminds you of a loved one who has died. Perhaps your object serves as ‘memento mori,’ a reminder that your own death is certain.

Or, come to listen, be in community and hear the stories of others.

Everyone will have a few minutes to share, depending on how many people wish to participate.

Donation-based. To join this session, complete the form below prior to November 29.
